Sheriff Jack Hall reported that the suspect attempted to endanger the lives of the marshals by trying to strike them with his vehicle before again fleeing on foot. Major Torres is quoted as saying there was a short pursuit, maybe three miles, before Meadows abandoned his vehicle.
