During the 3 PM hour tuesday afternoon, an Elyria police officer was responding to a call while going south on Route 57 near Grafton Road. At the intersection the cruiser collided with a newer model Honda Pilot SUV.
Elyria police, Lorain county sheriff’s office, Ohio state highway patrol, Lifecare ambulance, and Carlisle fire department responded to the scene. Injuries were reported via scanner traffic. What injuries and the conditions of all involved are currently unknown.
