By Erik Jones, Lorain Daily

Lorain police have made an arrest in connection to the deadly double shooting that shook the city just days ago. On Monday, April 14, 21-year-old Willie Demarr Gaddy Jr., of Lorain, was taken into custody and booked into the Lorain County Jail on one count of Felonious Assault.

The arrest stems from the tragic incident that occurred Friday evening, April 11, in the parking lot of 1139 Tower Boulevard, where two individuals were gunned down. Police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. and discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both later succumbed to their injuries.

As of now, the Lorain Police Department has not released the names of the victims in the April 15 press release. However, previous reports confirmed the identity of one of the deceased as 21-year-old Larry Moore Jr, also of Lorain.

The second victim has also been identified as J’Zier Gaddy of Avon.

According to officials, the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Criminal Investigations Bureau is continuing to gather evidence, pursue leads, and determine the full scope of those involved in what police describe as a violent and tragic act.

Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be provided by contacting the Lorain Police Criminal Investigations Bureau at (440) 204-2105.

This arrest may mark a step toward justice, but with many questions still unanswered, the community remains on edge as the investigation unfolds.
