LORAIN — The City of Lorain has announced upcoming lane closures on the Bascule Bridge as inspection work is performed next week.
Starting Monday, September 8, 2025, engineering firm Euthenics will conduct inspection work on the bridge for one week. Lane closures will take place daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Additionally, on Wednesday, September 10, and Thursday, September 11, an exterior lane will be fully closed as part of the inspection process.
Traffic control will be managed jointly by ODOT and Lorain County to help minimize delays. Drivers should plan for possible congestion and consider alternate routes where possible.
