Lorain residents looking to make a positive impact on their community are invited to join the Friends of South Lorain for a Community Clean Up! on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon.
Mark Your Calendars for April 12th
As the vibrant colors of spring begin to emerge, so too does the opportunity to refresh our shared spaces. The Friends of South Lorain, a dedicated 501(c)(3) recognized organization, is organizing this cleanup event to focus on two key locations in our city.
Two Important Locations Identified
Volunteers are needed to help tidy up the East 28th Street Underpass and the area around the former Leavitt Rd. Car Wash. These locations have been identified as areas where a little community effort can go a long way in enhancing their appearance.

Join Your Neighbors for a Morning of Action
This is a fantastic chance for neighbors to come together and take pride in their community. Whether you can spare the entire three hours or just a portion of the morning, your contribution will be valuable. The event aims to not only remove litter but also to foster a sense of collective responsibility for the beauty of South Lorain.
See the Flyer for More Details
A flyer circulating in the community provides all the essential details for this event, including the date, time, and specific locations. Keep an eye out for it around South Lorain!
Every Helping Hand Makes a Difference
The Friends of South Lorain believe that by working together, we can make South Lorain an even more attractive and enjoyable place to live. So, if you’re free on Saturday, April 12th, from 9 am to noon, head to either the East 28th Street Underpass or the Leavitt Road Car Wash and lend a hand. It’s a great way to connect with your community and make a tangible difference.
