ELYRIA — An Elyria man is facing multiple felony charges following a narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of cocaine, firearms, cash, and a stolen vehicle, according to information released by the Elyria Police Department.

On December 12, 2025, members of the Elyria Police Department Special Response Team executed a residential search warrant in the 400 block of Adams Street. The warrant stemmed from a long-term drug trafficking investigation conducted by the department’s Narcotics Unit in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
During the search, investigators recovered more than 800 grams of cocaine, which police said equates to approximately three-quarters of a kilogram. Officers also seized one stolen handgun, a shotgun, a significant amount of U.S. currency, and a stolen Chevrolet Camaro.
As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested 37-year-old Elyria resident Shaundale Brown.

Brown has been charged with trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony; possession of drugs, a first-degree felony; two counts of receiving stolen property, both fourth-degree felonies; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
Following his arrest, Brown was transported to the Lorain County Jail, where he is being held pending his initial court appearance. Police noted that the case remains under investigation and that additional charges may be considered as the case progresses.
“This operation reflects our ongoing commitment to dismantling drug networks that threaten the safety of our neighborhoods,” Elyria Police Chief James Welsh said in a statement. “We are grateful for the continued partnership with our federal counterparts and proud of the diligent work by our Narcotics Unit.”
