The Elyria Police Department responded to a variety of incidents over the weekend, including assisting another agency and making a drug-related arrest.
According to police reports:
- Assist to Erie County Deputies:
On October 25, officers helped Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a warrant arrest at a Valero Gas Station on East Avenue. The man was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Erie County authorities. - Controlled Substance Arrest:
Later that evening, officers stopped a vehicle near Lake Avenue and Lowell Street for a traffic violation. During the stop, police said they found a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and taken to the Lorain County Jail on possession and traffic-related charges.
Police said both incidents were cleared by arrest and no further information was immediately available.
