An Elyria woman was arrested after police say she forced her way into a bedroom, grabbed her boyfriend’s penis, and hit him during a domestic dispute.
Officers from the Elyria Police Department were first called to 119 Delaware Circle just after 8 p.m. on April 22, 2025. When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Reanon Marie Rickard trying to get inside through a window. A man inside the home told officers Rickard had been locked out and was no longer welcome. Rickard claimed she had been living there for several weeks, but officers explained the situation would need to be handled in court and she left.
Police were called back less than an hour later. Witnesses reported that Rickard was running in and out of the trailer, yelling, and trying to force her way into a locked room. According to a statement from the man involved, Rickard kicked in the door, grabbed his penis, and hit him multiple times. He was able to get away and call for help.
A neighbor told officers she saw Rickard yelling and swinging her arms at the man inside the home. Officers noted damage to the doorframe but saw no visible injuries on the man.
Rickard was arrested at the scene and booked into the Lorain County Jail at 1:27 a.m. on April 23. She was charged with domestic violence and assault, both listed as personal offenses. Her bond for the assault charge was set at $1,000.
She was released later that same day at 5:16 p.m. Her court hearing was scheduled for the morning of April 23 in Elyria Municipal Court.
