LORAIN, Ohio (October 18, 2025) — Emergency responders were called to the area of Lakeview Park on West Erie Avenue in Lorain on Saturday afternoon for a reported shooting.
According to LifeCare Ambulance radio traffic, an 18 year old male sustained a gunshot wound to the face around sunset. The incident occurred near the west end of Lakeview Park along West Erie Avenue.
The victim was described in the dispatch as being in critical condition and was intubated before being transported to Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital. Police and emergency crews were on the scene.
No additional details about the circumstances of the shooting or any suspect information have been released. The condition of the victim has not been confirmed by authorities.
Lorain Police have not yet issued an official statement.
