Around 10 PM Saturday, Lorain Police were responding to a MVA going eastbound on 21st St. A black Ford fusion was traveling southbound on Elyria Avenue when they were struck by the cruiser sending them into the side of the building at 2105 Elyria Ave. A black Cadillac was also involved in the accident.
“The occupants of the Ford fusion declined medical treatment. The driver of the Cadillac along with the officer were transported to Mercy health in Lorain for further evaluation. No charges have been filed at this time.” Said Lt. Gelenias.
While officers were working the scene, a gray F150 attempted to go past the barricade that was set. The driver was arrested, what he’s being charged with is currently unknown at this time.
