Lorain Police Conduct Multi-Agency Drug Raid, Arrest Lorain Man

LORAIN, Ohio – Early this morning, June 12, 2025, the Lorain Police Department, in conjunction with its SWAT Team, Criminal Investigations Bureau, K9 Unit, and Narcotics and Special Investigations Unit, conducted a multi-agency narcotics enforcement operation in the City of Lorain. This operation involved agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Cleveland and executed a series of coordinated search warrants throughout the city.

As a result of this operation, Zachary Calhoun, 43, of Lorain, was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Lorain County Jail. Calhoun faces several felony charges, including:

  • Trafficking in Drugs (Felony of the First Degree)
  • Possession of Drugs (Felony of the First Degree)
  • Having Weapons While Under Disability
  • Possession of Criminal Tools

Investigators recovered over 300 grams of suspected narcotics, including suspected fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and unidentified pills. Additionally, officers seized six firearms, various items consistent with drug manufacturing and trafficking, and over $120,000 in U.S. currency.

The incident remains under active investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming as evidence continues to be processed. The Lorain Police Department states that no additional information is available at this time, but more will be released as it becomes available.

The Lorain Police Department continues to work alongside its federal partners to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking operations that threaten the safety and well-being of the community.
