Lorain Police Find Two Dead from Gunshot Wounds During Welfare Check

LORAIN, OH — Two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside a Lorain residence Friday night during a welfare check.

According to scanner traffic, officers were dispatched to a home on West 29th Street after family members reported they had not been able to reach a resident for several days. Upon arrival, police entered the home and discovered two individuals deceased from gunshot wounds.

Detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation. The Lorain Police Department has not yet released the identities of the victims, and no further details have been made public.
