Lorain Welcomes New Grocery Outlet with Ribbon Cutting and Giveaways

LORAIN — Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will celebrate the grand opening of its new Lorain location on Thursday, November 13 at 7 a.m. The store is located at 4415 Leavitt Road and will be locally owned and operated by Daniel and Jamie Hess.

A ribbon cutting and donation ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m., featuring contributions to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio and the Church on the North Coast Food Pantry.

The first 100 customers in line will receive a Bliss Buck gift card and a free limited-edition reusable bag, while supplies last. The store is also hosting a $1,000 grocery giveaway, which runs from November 13 through December 12. Shoppers can enter by registering on the Grocery Outlet app and using their digital or WOW! card during checkout.

Leading up to the opening, Lorain residents shared a mix of excitement and concern online. Several commenters said they were eager for the store’s arrival, with one calling it “exciting” and another saying they “absolutely cannot wait for November 13.” Others expressed worries about limited parking and potential crowds on opening day. Some noted that additional stores are planned for the same plaza, which could affect parking availability once all are open.

The Grocery Outlet location will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
