Video: Crews staged at the property of the initial call at 11175 Oberlin Rd.
In the late evening hours, Thursday, Lorain County Fire, Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and Amherst Police Department responded to 11175 Oberlin Rd. for a report of a missing paraglider on the property.
While responding to the initial call, a fire crew found red parachute material on Russia Road, just south east of Lorain County Regional Airport. Crews would continue their search for about 15 more minutes until they received a call from the airport. Personnel at the airport reported that the missing paraglider walked in to the lobby, and stated that he was not injured and is OK.
What caused the paraglider to initially go missing is still unknown at this time. As a precaution, paramedic crews did examine the paraglider before clearing the scene.
