Ode to the 10 Worst Intersections in Lorain

  • Elyria Avenue & 21st Street – Why can’t I turn left? The whole west side of Lorain is over there.
  • West Erie Avenue & Broadway – Not shown: an open bridge.
  • Colorado Avenue & Kansas Avenue – 5:15 PM, wait and stare at the sun for 15 minutes.
  • North Ridge Road & Grove Avenue – How do you trigger the left turn signal?
  • East 36th Street and Plant Street – I can only turn my head so far to the right. Bonus: car approaching at unknown speed.
  • North Leavitt and Tower Boulevard – The Walmart shoppers have yet to figured this out.
  • Oberlin Avenue & Meister Road – Two lanes merge just inches after this intersection.
  • Oberlin Avenue & Cooper Foster Park Road – Also known as a parking lot.
  • Oak Point Road & Cooper Foster Park Road – Double roundabout might be the only solution.
  • Jaeger Road & Kolbe Road – Car from the left, please stop.
