Elyria police say violent domestic incidents on August 8 and 9, 2025, ended with multiple charges against 35-year-old Ethan Jesuit.
According to officers, Jesuit and a woman at a home on Brunswick Drive argued throughout the day on August 8. That evening, Jesuit left for the Laporte Inn Bar. When he learned the woman planned to go there, he called the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office asking deputies to remove her. Deputies went to the bar but left when she returned home.
The woman later texted Jesuit, ending the relationship and telling him to find a new place to live. Not long after, police say he came back in a white Ford F-250 with a trailer. He allegedly forced open the garage, broke through a door, and threw it at her, knocking her down. Officers say he then pushed her down stairs, pinned her, and during a struggle, tore a ring from her finger, causing a deep cut. He also reportedly smashed TVs, appliances, glass, plants, and other belongings before leaving again.
The woman was taken to UH Elyria with multiple injuries, including a possible broken toe. Police found and seized a loaded shotgun and a handgun from the home. She told officers Jesuit had been aggressive before.
Around 6:49 a.m. the next morning, officers were called back when Jesuit returned. Police say he refused commands and pulled away from officers on a narrow porch. A Taser was used to subdue him, and he was taken into custody.
Jesuit was booked into the Lorain County Jail on charges of domestic violence, felonious assault, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.
