According to a Facebook post shared by Lorain County 9-1-1, the Sheffield Village Police Department reported a serious medical incident involving one of its personnel. Because of the situation and its impact on staffing, the department stated that patrol coverage in Sheffield Village is currently being handled primarily by the Lorain Police Department.
Officials say the arrangement will remain in place until further notice while the department manages the situation internally. Sheffield Village Police expressed gratitude to Lorain PD for stepping in to ensure continuous coverage and public safety during this period.
