ELYRIA, Ohio — The Elyria Police Department has announced several temporary road closures and parking restrictions ahead of the 4th Annual Lorain County REVS 22K and 2.2-mile run/walk/ruck to End Veterans Suicide, taking place Saturday, November 8.
The race will begin at 8 a.m. at Ely Square Park, located across from Elyria City Hall. Roads will start closing at 5:00 a.m. between West Avenue and Court Street, with additional closures beginning at 7:45 a.m. Streets are expected to reopen around 1:00 p.m., or once the final participant crosses the finish line.
Road Closures
- Middle Avenue: Closed between Broad Street and 16th Street in both directions. Drivers between 4th and 16th Streets must exit onto East or West Avenues.
 - Downtown Area:
- Broad Street closed between Court Street and Washington Avenue.
 - Second Street closed between Court and Middle.
 - Kerstetter Way closed at Broad Street; access to the police station, Riverwalk, and nearby businesses will be via West Avenue.
 
 - Washington Avenue: Closed from Broad Street to Glenwood Avenue. Apartment residents needing to exit will be directed southbound in the northbound lane, with officers on-site to assist.
 - Cascade Park: Portions of the park will be used as part of the race route.
 
No Parking
No-parking signs will be posted along Middle Avenue, Washington Avenue, Broad Street, Court Street, Seventh Street, and Gates Avenue on race day.
Police ask residents and visitors to plan ahead, follow detour signage, and be mindful of runners and volunteers to ensure a safe and successful event.
