Police Respond to Barricaded Subject on South Logan
According to a Facebook post from the Elyria Police Department, the situation is centered at a residence in the 800 block of South Logan Street. Multiple patrol vehicles and tactical units have arrived at the scene, and authorities have established a perimeter. Police have closed several roads in the immediate vicinity of Boston Avenue and South Logan Street to ensure public and law enforcement safety.
Suspect Identified and Wanted on Federal Warrants
Police have identified the individual inside the residence as a 46-year-old man. He is wanted on federal probation warrants that relate to a previous arrest for weapons violations. Authorities report that the man is uncooperative with their attempts to communicate. They believe he is armed with either a handgun or a rifle.
