ELYRIA — Elyria Police Department and fire crews responded Sunday afternoon to Colonial Oaks Mobile home park after multiple people were reported stabbed.
Initial reports indicated two stabbing victims, though later updates suggested as many as three people may have been injured. Emergency medical crews were initially staged while officers secured the area.
One male victim was transported by Life Care, while the number of additional victims and their conditions were not immediately confirmed.
Early reports also suggested juveniles may have been involved, though police had not officially confirmed that information as of publication.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived. The suspect was described as a Black male with dreadlocks wearing shorts. Later updates indicated the suspect had been identified, though no official name had been released.
Lorain County Sheriff’s Office was requested for mutual aid, and a sheriff’s unit was dispatched to assist.
