LORAIN, OH — A Lorain lottery player is celebrating a big win after matching all five numbers in the Ohio Lottery’s Rolling Cash 5 game, claiming a $324,000 jackpot.
The winning ticket was purchased at Raceway Pure Gas, located at 3040 Oberlin Avenue in Lorain. The player chose their own numbers and successfully matched 8, 24, 33, 37, and 39 in the Tuesday, April 15 drawing.
After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive approximately $233,280.
Each Rolling Cash 5 play costs $1. Drawings are held daily at 7:05 p.m., and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 575,757. The game’s jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows each day until a player matches all five numbers. Players can also win smaller prizes for matching two, three, or four numbers.
Raceway Pure Gas, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, will not receive a bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket under current Ohio Lottery guidelines for Rolling Cash 5.
