Naked, Screaming, and Clutching a Bottle of Wine: Wild Arrest at Elyria Hotel

Police were called to the Courtyard by Marriott in Elyria around 3:39 a.m. on May 6, 2025, after hotel staff reported an unwanted couple in room #315, including a couple acting erratically and suspected of drug use. The room was registered to Yvette Ballou, 39, of Amherst, who was staying with Bradley Green, 44, of Grove City.

According to the front desk manager, the pair had been caught on security footage acting suspiciously, including Bradley entering a restroom off the hotel lobby — which was later found smeared in feces. Staff said the two appeared impaired and were disturbing other guests, prompting a call to police.

When officers arrived, they could hear yelling from inside the hotel room. Both individuals went silent when police knocked. After several minutes and no response, hotel staff used a key to open the door. The officers announced themselves, and Bradley eventually spoke with them, saying he and Yvette had been arguing but that nothing physical happened. Officers advised that the couple had violated hotel policy and were being asked to leave.

Then things escalated.

Yvette, who had locked herself in the bathroom, began yelling and banging on the door. At one point, she came out into the room, grabbed a Budweiser beer bottle, chugged what was left, and threw it across the room before retreating to the bathroom and slamming the door again.

Officers warned her repeatedly that she could be arrested if she didn’t stop. She responded by continuing to scream, banging the walls, and slamming doors.

When officers entered the bathroom, they found Yvette naked in the shower, clutching a bottle of wine. She refused to cooperate or get dressed. Officers eventually removed her from the shower and placed her under arrest, covering her with towels and a blanket after she refused to dress — even when Bradley attempted to help.

Yvette refused to walk, so officers carried her to the police cruiser. She was taken to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and booked on two misdemeanor charges:

  • Criminal Trespass
  • Disorderly Conduct – Persisting

Bradley, while confrontational at first, eventually complied and was not charged. He left the hotel without further incident after collecting their belongings.

The entire incident was captured on body cameras, according to the report.
