LORAIN, OH — Lorain police have launched a suspicious death investigation after discovering a man’s body in the trunk of a vehicle on Camden Avenue Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Camden Avenue at approximately 10:34 a.m. on August 5, 2025, in response to a report of a suspicious vehicle and a possibly missing person. According to a statement from the Lorain Police Department, officers arrived on scene and located the deceased remains of an unidentified white male, believed to be in his late 30s, inside the trunk.
While the cause of death has not been determined, investigators say the circumstances appear suspicious. The man is believed to have been deceased for several hours or possibly days prior to the discovery.
The Lorain County Coroner’s Office responded and is assisting with the investigation. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
