According to a report by WOIO Channel 19, a Lorain City Schools bus was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon after a car allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with the bus.
The accident happened around 3:20 p.m. near 112 West 18th Street in Lorain. Investigators say a passenger vehicle went through a stop sign and struck the front of the bus as it entered the intersection.
There were approximately 30 students on board at the time of the crash. According to Lorain City Schools, no injuries were reported, and both the bus driver and monitor were unharmed. As a precaution, the Lorain Police Department responded to the scene and checked all students before they were released.
The district expressed gratitude to the Lorain Police Department for their quick response. At this time, no further details about citations or fault have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
