An 18-year-old Lorain man is facing multiple felony firearm charges following a December shooting incident that remains under investigation, according to Lorain Municipal Court records.

Exzavier Anthony Louis Carrion, 18, was booked into the Lorain County Jail on December 18, 2025, following a traffic stop connected to reports of gunfire earlier that morning. Jail records show Carrion is being held on a $250,000 cash or surety bond.
Court filings indicate Carrion has been charged with three felony counts stemming from a single incident that occurred around 1:01 a.m. on December 18. The charges include improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school, and carrying a concealed weapon involving a loaded firearm.
While Carrion is a Lorain resident and was arrested by the Lorain Police Department, the incident itself involved activity in the Sheffield Lake area. Under Ohio law, felony cases are initially processed in municipal court regardless of where the incident occurred, with jurisdiction determined by arresting agencies and court boundaries.

The case is currently pending in Lorain Municipal Court, which handles preliminary proceedings in felony matters. No indictment has been issued at this time, and the case has not yet been transferred to Lorain County Common Pleas Court.
Carrion appeared in court on December 19, where the matter was continued. Court records show a subsequent arraignment is scheduled for December 23 at 1 p.m. before Judge Thomas J. Elwell Jr. If released on bond, Carrion would be subject to GPS monitoring and strict supervision, according to court filings.
Additional details regarding the alleged shooting, including a motive or whether others were involved, have not been released in court records as of this publication. The case remains pending.
